There are a number of factors which will determine the stages required for your vehicles cut, buff and polish process.  Your vehicles manufacturer and paint type will most definitely affect the buffing technique to be used. For example cars that have soft paint (Japanese cars) tend to correct easier but this takes time to perfect. Whereas, European cars which have a hard ceramic clear coat will take more time to penetrate the clear coat.

The colour of your cars paint work will also determine the time required to achieve a hologram free finish. Dark coloured cars will always show up more scratches and imperfections than lighter coloured cars therefore requiring time to remove them.

The machine buffing process will remove the imperfections from your vehicle such as swirl marks, scratches (depending on depth), holograms and oxidation.
